Jacobean Hall Table

As a new Carolean period is ushered in, it is timely to bring you a table I think was built during Charles ll reign.

I love the rustic nature of this piece, and the Jacobean carving. It will suit a contemporary interior and be a feature table with a bold piece of modern art above it.

The six legs are turned in the manner of a canon, hence gun barrel turnings, made strong with a stretcher base. The stretchers are mortice and tenon jointed into the legs. The planked top is supported by a Jacobean carved frieze, jointed at the top of each of the legs.
