Louis XVI Occasional Table

This table was painted when we bought it. When Rory, our artist, stripped the paint off, he found an original glass top, so he leafed it in gold and refurbished the base in a matt black over gesso finish.

The table's four Louis XVl turned legs are supported with a quatrefoil stretcher base, giving the table strength and stability.

Perfect with my sad old chateau doors.
