I sat in my warehouse on the phone in front of this French Empire semainier. I just can't get over the fantastic quality of this tall and narrow chest of seven drawers.
With flame veneers, each drawer has a pair of lion-faced handles flanking an oval Louis XVI key escutcheon.
The top drawer is undecorated, bar a long, thin key escutcheon.
Marble-topped, stunning quality, and less than 1000mm wide: perfect.
