Pair of Louis Philippe Mirrors
Occasionally, we are asked for a pair of mirrors - they are notoriously hard to find and, of course, command a premium price.
We sourced this pair of Louis Philippe period mirrors in northern France. Crested in a regal manner, a decorative style that was prevalent on mirrors and furniture alike, which adorned the walls of chateaux across the region during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The original mercury glass is edged in a fine beaded line tracing the edge of the iconic Louis Philippe, moulded, water and oil-gilded frame. A metre tall, these mirrors will look grand in any setting.
The pair will not be split.
