A lovely Gustavian commode with a matt-black finish.
The three plain drawers have no detail aside from the beaded Regency ring handles and matching beaded escutcheons, emphasising the lovely arched carving above the top drawers. The chest sits on distinctive Gustavian feet. The antique-black original finish has been cut back to emphasise the carving and medullary ray formations on each drawer.
