When you get to buying in France, you learn that all the dresser bases are ornate and carved. It is a delight to find on occasion these absolutely plain, Louis Philippe period bases. Plain - yet perfectly detailed.
Each door is fielded and all three doors are set back from the body of the cabinet. The drawers are set foreard to allow for easy opening and the plain frieze at the base of the dresser is made lighter by elevating the whole thing just off the ground to create a lightness.
The dresser is finished in a lovely green.
