Sword Box

This is one of the oldest pieces we have had in stock, possibly dating from as early as the Cromwellian period, otherwise known as the Interregnum.

Cromwellian furniture is very plain - another reason why we should keep the monarchy - their ability to add their mark to the furniture of their era.

That said, over the centuries this plain sword box has developed a wonderful colour and patina.
