When I started in the antique trade 35 years ago, I struggled to differentiate a good Windsor chair from a bad one. After reading The English Windsor Chair by Thomas Crispin I realised that the simple stick back with the crinoline stretcher and the wider, moulded seat was the ultimate in Windsor comfort.
This chair is made in the UK from ash, the best timber for bending, and is the best Windsor chair model on the globe.
