Bleached Louis Philippe Commode

A classic Louis Philippe walnut commode. This particular commode was bought by John in northern France, on the border of Brittany and Normandy.
Bleaching revealed the burr walnut's superb grain. The original fossil stone top sits above the commode's shaped top drawer, which sits above the three long drawers framed by Louis Philippe mouldings.
The whole chest is raised on quintessential Louis Philippe feet. Iconic.
Oval brass handles can be added to the commode's drawers if constant 21st century use demands them. They would in no way detract from the commode's look.
