Louis XVI Commode
A commode with fantastic lines and fantastic quality, this Louis XVI period commode (chest of drawers) was made between 1790 and 1820.
The legs are turned and fluted with brass capitals, and each drawer is fielded with brass mouldings. Each drawer has my favourite (down-along and up-again) handles and Louis XV escutcheons. The top is the commode's original Italian marble.
