A fine period Louis XV oval table. This is perfectly proportioned!
The lesser tables are cast in plaster; the exceptional models are carved in wood and then glazed in gesso. This gives a much finer/sharper finish. Don't underestimate the quality of this Rococo Louis XV table. The four cabriole legs are strengthened with a Rococo stretcher base. Pierced carvings to the top frieze below a faux parquet top.
