We have imported slabs of rustic French Oak from France for many years. The slabs have grain cracks and saw marks. Weatherby our clever cabinet maker somehow uses all these not-so-straight boards in the Wabi-Sabi manner for Katrina. Then they are 'finished'; this is done in black stain.
