Straight out of Josephine's bedroom, the shape of the crest of this Armoire/Virtine (Vitrine because it has windows) is in the manner of Napoleon's Hat.
The graceful doors arch up towards the crest - so much work and detail. Each door has 10 shaped windows over a blind-shaped panel - so French! The whole cupboard is raised on slender Louis XV feet to give this vitrine weightlessness.
