You can't beat the look and feel of a walnut chest of drawers - the oyster-cut veneers are not from the burr of the tree but from the branches and roots. These are not modern-time veneers, but thick-cut oysters of French walnut on pine.
Two short over three long drawers with eight original and engraved plate handles. The commode's walnut-veneered broad top is in the manner of a chest-on-chest - possibly Queen Anne period.
Raised on bun feet.
