The Salon de Mai (the May Salon) was a group of French artists, a group that first met in a café on the Rue Dauphine, Paris in 1943, during the German occupation of France.

This particular poster was for their exhibition (20th)in 1964 - the artwork by Dutch artist Bram Van Velde exposés the lyrical abstraction he was famous for. Gorgeous colour and composition.
