Elm Dining Table// Length 2.2m
Elm is an interesting timber - mentioned in early times for various reasons. Generally when it is milled the timber is pink, but it goes brown or yellow when polished. The timber in this table has been exposed to the air and turned a beautiful grey colour.
A Louis XV period table with tapered legs and triangular supports. It is fabulous and the perfect size, seating eight people comfortably, ten at a push.
Purchased in northern France.
