These coat racks are very sought after, especially when they are complete and in such good condition.
As they didn't have bamboo in France and the UK, furniture makers carved bamboo out of birch and oak to satisfy the desire for chinoiserie style - the inside of the Brighton Pavilion being a perfect example.
This is the finest hat/coat rack I have found and imported to date.
