A large French decorative frame made by the ateliers in Montparnasse during the 1920s and 30s. Montparnasse is a suburb in the south of Paris that became famous in the 1920s, referred to as les Années Folles (the Crazy Years), and the 1930s as the heart of intellectual and artistic life in Paris.
These frames represent all the quality, craftsmanship and frivolity of the time and were a favourite of Pablo Picasso and Möise Kisling.
