These gorgeous desks are completely out of fashion - but here is an excellent quality 19th century flat-topped English oak pedestal desk - so called because the top lifts off the two three-drawer pedestals.
It had horrible cup handles on it when I bought it, so I ordered some nice English pierced-brass handles fitting for a desk of this quality.
