A strong Louis Philippe period mirror.
These plain French mirrors are becoming harder and harder to find. This one has its original mercury mirror and a wooden panelled back, denoting quality. The ribbon edge on the gilded frame is particularly nice with lovely red oxide showing through the gilding.
