Directoire Commode
I bought this commode because of its lovely proportion. At only 760mm wide, it will fit anywhere - in fact, with the original marble top, it would make a wonderful bedside to put a cup of tea on in the morning or a Scotch at bedtime.
Finished in a Gustavian eggshell gesso, the fielded drawers will soon be fitted with Louis XVI-style oval cast brass handles. Very nice!
