Julian, our in-house art buyer, sources these canvases in northern France. Julian spent years at art school and is an artist himself. He finds these paintings on his monthly trips to Europe, and combines them with these very special Brittany Montparnasse frames (valuable in their own right).
Back then we didn't have too many important oil painters in New Zealand, so we love these period works.
