A bleached five-panel 17th century oak settle.
The real deal with its cabriole Queen Anne legs, not to be confused with the later turned-leg model.
The settle's oak is quarter sawn, exposing that wonderful medullary-structure in the timber's formation, particularly visible on the settle's front rail, also above the seat's five fielded panels.
The settle's cushion is upholstered in a gorgeous Christopher Farr cloth.
