Directoire Chairs

Last December, Macron and Boris Johnson were having a stoush and the border between the UK and France was summarily closed. Happily, none of the 'rules' applied to lorry drivers and so the French markets were empty of buyers. 

That's where and when I found this pair of beautiful chairs, which would have been snapped up, in a heartbeat, by the big international trade.

The first pair of Directoire Period chairs I have ever owned.
