Louis XVI Commode
This commode deserves scrutiny because it is exceptional. French Empire but almost modern in appearance, although it's 200 years old.
The commode's beautiful Carrara marble top sits above the drawers with their brass fielding. The lovely proportions of this piece are enhanced by the brass work: the Regency ring handles, escutcheons and knurled columns.
Absolutely gorgeous!
