The most beautiful Louis XVI couch frame I have ever come across. So lucky to find it on our Christmas trip to France, when President Macron closed the border and I, quite legitimately, slipped into the country in a freight truck.
Without question, this would have gone to New York or London, had those buyers been there.
Stunning proportion and carving. The frame's design speaks for itself, there's not a straight piece of wood in it.
Estimate to upholster $3000 + 12.5 metres of fabric.
