Windsor Carver Chair // JS Editions

NZ$1,950

A new Windsor chair made by our man in Yorkshire.

In the 1970s, I didn't get Windsor chairs. I couldn't tell a good Windsor chair from an inferior one. I had to do some reading to finally get it, to understand the difference between a £200 and a £1200 chair.

The epitome of a good Windsor chair is as follows:

Four turned legs supported by a bent ash crinoline stretcher, and a wide comfortable saddle seat. The seat's back comprises spindles without a splat back. Anyway, this is the model you want.
