Louis Philippe mirrors have become very desirable. If you see them at the fairs in France you have to be fast because they sell so quickly. This one is only 56cm tall and although it appears plain in appearance, on close inspection it is very detailed. From the mercury glass to the beaded and oil-gilded interior, to the water-gilded convex mouldings on the mirror's outer frame, this mirror is smashing quality. You can see the 24 carat gold sheet marks.
