Statue of Aphrodite

A very famous statue of the Greek goddess Aphrodite, goddess of love.

At the time, this impression was very important because it was the first time a Greek female figure had been sculpted with some of her kit off. She is very modestly attired here but as time went on things became more and more risque, until finally Praxiteles did her nude.

I like this version where she still has arms.
