Duck-Egg Blue Commode

This commode was the last piece I purchased from my 2020 trip to Sweden. Since then, it has sat in the corner of our warehouse, with broken feet incurred on the trip over, looking very sad! Our restorer put it back together before it received a new paint finish from our resident artist and, finally, we await the handles from the casting house in Europe - it is a journey, but one well worth travelling! 

Anyway, it is a 19th-century Swedish commode with chamfered corners supported on now-straightened tapered feet. The thin top drawer sits below a dentil-moulded top with two deeper drawers below. The handles and escutcheons (on order) are round with rope-edged detailing to complete the look perfectly. 

I did not see any of these commodes this trip, 2021-2022, so don't miss this one!
