Coalbrookdale Seat
Coalbrookdale is/was a wonderful old British firm specialising in cast iron castings. The firm manufactured the first cast iron railway bridge a couple of hundred years ago.
These particular benches were made in 1830 to grace good English and New Zealand gardens.
Each end of the bench is a single casting that is decorated with branches and grapes and the head of a labrador supported by a black adder snake.
Wonderful and very distinctive.
Can be finished in other colours, see #102-96
