French Black Empire Commode
In the manner of a semainier, but with just six drawers.
Fantastic quality from top to bottom.
The chest's top has ebony and boxwood herringbone inlays. The plain top drawer has an ornate key escutcheon flanked with angels blaring trumpets, sounds terrible but quite subtle.
The five middle drawers have very small round key escutcheons and large brass knobs.
This chest is set on square Empire feet.
