English Oak Military Chest
A period English campaign chest of drawers made from very fine quarter-sawn oak, even the drawer liners are left to right quarter-sawn oak. The drawers' dovetail joints are 'London fine' - a quality only seen in top London cabinetry.
The top section of two short drawers over one long drawer are of equal proportions, yet the bottom section with its two drawers is graduated. It looks fantastic, such clever designers!
Each of the recessed handles is stamped:
