Georgian Chest of Drawers

Early English furniture was very ornate, as was Victorian furniture.

Between these two eras sits the Georges, who reigned from 1714-1830.

The reign of George 1 saw quite crude furniture produced, later in the Georgian era furniture once again became more ornate (George lll and lV).  However, George ll's reign (1727-1760) produced furniture that remains the epitome of timeless good taste.

This chest of drawers, with its perfectly-proportioned and graduated drawers decorated with swan-necked handles, the whole sitting on lovely bracket feet, is a perfect example of George ll furniture.

Great colour and patina and good for another 250 years.
