Absolutely gorgeous, a small Directoire French commode.

A piece with small and pleasing proportions. Features include three faux drawer fronts on the top drawer, which sits over two long drawers. The chest has an exquisite brown and black Italian marble. Brass quarter-round mouldings fit to each fielded panel drawer, which also have lovely decorative key escutcheons.

Gold half-round corners sit on top of the chest's pillars with their gold leaf fluting, which, in turn, sit on turned conical legs with brass feet.
