French Jewellery Chest
To finish your apprenticeship as a cabinet maker you have to do your final project, which involves building a miniature chest of drawers or commode.
I have had colonial apprentice pieces but never a miniature French bombe commode.
This is a very rare and collectable piece, veneered with kingwood inlay, satinwood and tulip wood.
