Large Gilt Console with Carrara Marble Top
Purchased in Notre-Dame-du-Touchet, this is a beautifully proportioned 19th century Louis XVl console table with egg and dart moulding and a shaped and ornate original Carrera marble top.
The console's carved parterre is supported by four fine, turned and slightly fluted legs indicating directoire influences.
So nice that it is a) tall and b) has 4 legs, most have 2 .
