Bombe Commode with Italian Marble Top
It is amazing that the small scale of this commode does not lose any of the proportion associated with large bombe commodes.
I have taken this photograph from farther back and zoomed in to show that the porportion is just right (no parallax error).
The commode has very nice bronze ormulu mounts that have tarnished nicely. Some people like them brightened up a bit, but that is a personal choice. Similarly, the woodwork can be brightened if you would like.
