Louis XV Commode
From France, a very nice 19th century bombe commode.
This is a strong well-proportioned piece devoid of the floral decoration seen on many bombe commodes. Instead, this commode's two drawers have a parquet pattern, good strong Louis XV cast ormulu handles, escutcheons and feet. Also, a lovely coloured Italian marble top.
