Mirrored Armoire
This is a mid to late 19 century French two door mirrored armoire, in the beautiful late 18th century manner, reflecting influence from earlier periods.
The base of the armoire begins with carved and scrolled Louis XV feet, with foliate carving above and plain serpentine mouldings toward the middle foliate carving.
Two stunning thick mercury and bevelled mirrors are flanked with conservatively shaped mouldings to accentuate the bevelled glass and give the body of the armoire real depth.
The top of the armoire is in the manner of an 18th century policeman's/gendarme's (or Pirates of the Caribbean)hat, crested with a stunning rococco carved pediment.
1360mm(W) x 520mm(D) x 2500mm(H) including crest.
