Small Transitional Commode

We are often asked for small marble topped pieces for small spots in bedrooms and sitting rooms. Something a little more formal than many of the provincial pieces we import.

I bought this piece in Brittany, but I suspect, from the quality of the castings of the escutcheons and the corner mounts, that it is almost certainly cosmopolitan in origin ie Paris or Bordeaux.
