William Seuffert Colonial Table

Our non-resident expert Mr Cottrell tells us that he thinks this is a William Seuffert table, a very collectable New Zealand colonial wine table.
The table tops were often exported and walnut bases were applied elsewhere. This example, found in the UK, has a wonderfully made New Zealand Seuffert base.
The table has its original patina (so many of the tables are refinished by the conservators). This piece has just had a wax - very original.
The tables fetch $15,000 - $25,000 at auction
