Custom-made Mahogany Empire Style Console

A stunning custom-built mahogany French Empire style console, recently completed for a customer. This console features turned legs with intricately turned mounts finished in gold leaf, a striking marble top and very attractive brass reinforcement for added stability.

There were a number of craftsmen involved in the creation of this piece - a cabinet maker, a wood turner, a painter/gilder, a stone specialist, a metal worker and a restorer for the polishing and finishing - an arduous process respecting each of the crafts involved. We are lucky to have access to some of the most talented craftsmen in New Zealand. The finished product speaks for itself, just wonderful!
