A very nice period French chestnut coffer - I think the studs and stars indicate a wedding piece, but an early 18th-century wedding didn't involve an expensive photographer, so we are short on evidence!
The coffer's lovely features include straight 'style' feet, four fielded front panels and a planked top, plus the piece's lovely colour.
