New Zealand Colonial Chiffonier

A chiffonier in cedar imported from NSW, Australia, and kauri secondary timber. Cedar was the colonial equivalent of mahogany. A nice plain example that belonged to William Cottrell, authority on early colonial furniture. Maybe in Christchurch about 1880 and found in Gunyah Homestead, Canterbury.
