April News

2nd April 2012

I was very sad to see a loyal royal customer pass away this week - the King of Tonga - who was a visitor and always a delight to deal with. He was a very gracious gentleman with a well-educated eye. We have had a fantastic response to our last email with nearly all the offerings being sold - we might have to increase the frequency of emails from quarterly to six times a year! Our new conservatory area at the rear of the shop is a great success with customers able to view furniture in natural light. We have a special art exhibition next month - more details to follow.

Our Viyella fabric range is marching along. It is made at the Mill in Scotland from New Zealand and Scottish wool - very nice. See photo of French Wing Chair in Viyella Herringbone Natural. We have just received a Louis XIV painted Armoire back from our restorer. This fantastic 18th Century oak Armoire is a stunner with the carved panels and triple steel hinges.
