April: Stock Control Month

2nd April 2011

After 23 years of business I have started a stock control system. Now I know where everything is-well almost! There have been some amazing finds including two wonderful refectory tables that have been sitting at the restorers for a couple of years. One is a wonderful dark oak 2.75m table (stock #8140). Time to prioritise the restoration orders! We are getting everything restored and back to the shop before the next container arrives in early June with an even larger table at 3.0m (stock #8110).

Also found at the restorer is a wonderful commode (stock #8146),polished up and looking special with the original black marble top. And last but not least, found in the corner of the chapel in Onehunga, a Louis XVI walnut chair and footstool (stock #8149) with gilded carving on top of the turned and fluted legs. Mary loads photos on the website every other day so keep pressing the Recent Acquisitions button to see what has arrived at the shop and the Show All button at the bottom to see what is being bought.
