Black Lacquer Commode
My favourite set of handles adorn this luscious black lacquer Directoire period commode. It appears as though the piece has three short drawers over two long when in fact the top drawer is a single drawer. The drawers have brass ormolu quarter-round fielded panels. So French and sophisticated.
