Painted French Dresser Base
A large Louis XlV-style antique dresser base.
Dating from the 19th century, this oak dresser, with two short carved drawers with original handles, over two short cupboards, flanked by two fielded cupboards, is a very attractive and substantial piece of furniture.
The dresser's original carvings are accentuated by the piece's gesso finish.
