Chest of Drawers

This is possibly the plainest Georgian oak chest of drawers. George II oak is where you got less for more, so plain, so boring - yet so right. Tight grained quarter sawn oak with oak cross-banded top drawers, quarter sawn oak with plate back handles and engraved key escutcheons to the chest's 3 long drawers. The whole chest stands on excellent plain bracket feet. Even the interiors of the drawers are fine grain quarter sawn oak front to back. You only see drawer liners like that on the very best Georgian furniture.
